Natures Color Rolled Canvas Prints

Natures Color Rolled Canvas Prints A reflective lake and two giant snow-striped mountaintops, named Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, anchor a blissful panorama exemplified by a symphony of color that changes with the seasons. More than 300 million years of geologic activity, including sedimentation, uplift and erosion by wind, water and ice, are credited to the creation of Maroon Valley. According to the US Forest Service, the mountains received their distinctive maroon coloring from the weathering of hematite, an iron-bearing mineral, while Maroon Lake occupies a basin that was sculpted by Ice-Age glaciers. The Maroon Bells are two peaks in the Elk Mountains, Maroon Peak and North Maroon Peak, separated by about a third of a mile. The view of the Maroon Bells to the southwest from the Maroon Creek valley is one of the most famous scenes in Colorado, and is reputed to be the most-photographed spot in Colorado and one of Colorado premier scenic overlooks. The peaks are located in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness of White River National Forest. The Maroon Bells are an increasingly popular destination for day and overnight visitors, over 300,000 people visit the Bells every season. Due to the volume of people, a bus service runs every day from 8am-5pm from mid-June, through the first weekend in October. During these times, vehicle access is limited only to those with handicap placards, or disability license plates. Here you can explore the glacial valley while surrounded by 14,000 - foot peaks. Maroon Lake, is surrounded by fields of wildflowers, mirrors images of the Maroon Bells in its waters.
