Belmont Pier Stretched Canvas Prints

Belmont Pier Stretched Canvas Prints Belmont Shore, a community that functions as part of the city of Long Beach, spans 2nd Street and Ocean Avenue on the southern end of the city's beaches and coastline. Belmont Shore has its very own shopping district, business association, pier and recreation center featuring the landmark Belmont Pool where an Olympic gold medalist has taught swim lessons for years at a public pool right at the beach. The swimming pool is located next door to the public pier called Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier. Throughout the year the pier is a hub for free pier fishing. People come and spend the day off fishing, sometimes bringing their family with them. Special events on the pier include fundraisers, and the annual installation of the Christmas tree decoration. When the community grew rapidly in 1906 as the fastest growing subdivision in Long Beach, the residents wanted a pier. Pleasure piers had sprung up along the coast providing entertaining fun, amusement rides, and places to stroll. The angry residents of Belmont Heights voted to become the City of Belmont in 1908, fed up about high taxes imposed by the City of Long Beach. Long Beach features the Long Beach Museum of Art and the Museum of Latin American Art among others. Shops and galleries in the East Village Arts District hold their monthly art openings and artists exhibit in street galleries on the second Saturday of the month during the Artwalk. Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier is a popular site for fishing and strolling located at 35 39th Place. Sport Fishing can be accessed at the end of the pier, as well as a snack stand and bait shop. Throughout the year the pier is a hub for free pier fishing. People come and spend the day off fishing, sometimes bringing their family with them.
