Tower Zero is kind of the epicenter for lifeguards on the beach, assisting in communication, in rescue procedures and helping distribute resources. There are usually two people staffing the tower from 10 am to about 6 p.m. Then it goes down to one person before and after that time. The purpose of this tower is a communications center that is away from Lifeguard Headquarters. Huntington State Beach is located in the City of Huntington Beach in Orange County. The 121 acre state beach is a popular destination for water enthusiasts of all ages and draws hundreds of thousands of visitors year round.
