La Jolla Dawn Panoramic Canvas Prints

La Jolla Dawn Panoramic Canvas Prints La Jolla is an affluent neighborhood in San Diego, California. It is a hilly seaside community, occupying 7 miles of curving coastline along the Pacific Ocean within the northern city limits. The 2004 estimated population of the was 42,808 while the La Jolla community planning area had an estimated population of 31,746 in 2010. The waves here are thought to be the most gentle in the county, making this an ideal place to paddle out in a kayak, learn to surf or scuba dive. There is plenty of flat sand for families to sprawl out as well as lifeguards, showers and restrooms. It is one of the most family-friendly beaches in San Diego, definitely. The topographic feature that gave rise to the name "holes" is uncertain; it probably refers to sea-level caves located on the north-facing bluffs, which are visible from La Jolla Shores. It is suggested that the Kumeyaay name for the area was transcribed by the Spanish settlers as La Jolla. An alternative, pseudo-etymological suggestion for the origin of the name is that it is an alternate spelling of the Spanish word la joya, which means "the jewel". Despite being disputed by scholars, this derivation of the name has been widely cited in popular culture. That supposed origin gave rise to the nickname "Jewel City". It is better to have a kayak, but La Jolla is home to seven sea caves between La Jolla Shores and La Jolla Cove. La Jolla is home to an endless variety of attractions to experience and explore. Like spectacular beaches, art and cultural venues, adventure tours and world class shopping. And within a short drive, you will discover other attractions throughout the Greater San Diego area.
