Pink Mountains Stretched Canvas Prints

Pink Mountains Stretched Canvas Prints Pink Mountain offers visitors with the opportunity to travel through scenic mountainous habitats and to view a variety of wildlife. Recreation activities in the area include hiking, photography, scenic viewing and wildlife viewing. The area has an international reputation as the most accessible spot in northern British Columbia to observe Arctic butterflies. Pink Mountain Provincial Park is located approximately 180km northwest of Fort St. John. It is reached by turning west off the Alaska Highway at mile 147. This road proceeds in a south-westerly direction for 16 km. At this point there is a fork in the road, access to Pink Mountain is by the northerly fork which travels up Pink Mountain via a number of switchbacks. The road to the summit of Pink Mountain is not maintained in winter and is accessible by vehicle only from late spring to fall. A very narrow range, the Santa Ynez Mountains rise quickly on its north side and drops off equally dramatically along the range's south face. The Santa Ynez Mountains begin as a series of volcanic hills near Point Arguello, and gradually transitions eastward into a single, well-defined ridge extending from Gaviota Peak to Matilija Creek. The range is somewhat contiguous with the Topatopa Mountains beyond to the east, which terminates abruptly at Sespe Creek. The climate of the range is Mediterranean with semi-arid characteristics. Most of the range lies in the California chaparral and woodlands ecoregion. At the crest, rainier regions support large groves of conifers, primarily Coulter pines.
