Kalalau Valley Gallery Wrapped Canvas Photos
Kalalau Valley, one of the most photographed and well recognized valleys in all of Hawaii. This is primarily because the valley and surrounding coast have served as the backdrop for countless films including King Kong, Mighty Joe Young, Jurassic Park, and Six Days Seven Nights. Kalalau Lookout is also the highest elevation most people reach in Kauai by road, 4,000 feet. Here you will find one of the greatest views in all of Hawaii. Kalalau Valley is the largest valley on the island at two miles wide. Amazingly, it was inhabited up until 1919. The valley is located in the Nā Pali Coast State Park and houses the beautiful Kalalau Beach. The Nā Pali Coast is very rugged and is inaccessible to automobiles. The only legal ways to access the valley are by kayak or by hiking the Kalalau Trail. Kalalau Valley is the largest and wettest valley on Kauai’s Napali coast. Its beauty and position at the Northern end of Napali Coast State Park make it an ideal photo opportunity and turnaround spot for our Napali Coast boat tours. The Kalalau Valley is exceptionally rugged and inaccessible except by landing a kayak or inflatable on Kalalau Beach or a strenuous eleven mile adventure hike along the famous Kalalau Trail. The valley walls tower steeply more than 2,000 feet above the lush valley floor and the remnants of magnificent terraced gardens and historic taro patches within. The Kalalau Valley is located in the Na Pali Coast State Park and houses the beautiful Kalalau Beach. This famous northwest coast is as dramatic as it is intimidating, with most visitors settling for an inspiring sailing to take in the view, snorkel and whale watch.
