Pleasure Point Panoramic Canvas Photos
The small community of Pleasure Point is a classic beach side community with plenty of local shopping and dining options, home to wetsuit pioneer Jack ONeill, where locals mix effortlessly with visitors eager to capture that authentic surf vibe. Surfing aficionados can hang loose at Pleasure Point Park, complete with beach access where longtime wave riders compare stories from the day's outings. Pleasure Point boasts surfing events perfect for spectators and nearly a dozen famous breaks making it the ideal destination for skilled surfers and a perfect addition to a Santa Cruz beach vacation. Pleasure Point, on the northern Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz County, California, is a world-renowned surf location. Only 2 hours from the desert communities and most Southern California cities. Whether you want to cruise or putt around the lake, we have everything you need for a safe, cool and fun family outing. Pleasure Point Park is a small park on the bluff above a popular surfing spot in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz. Climb down the stairs from the park to the beach below, what little there is of it, and don’t expect much beach-wise. Except at low tide, this spot below the bluff will be all wet, but there is a rock shelf to sit on. Those not surfing can just rest here and watch the surfers from the rocks or from benches and picnic tables in Pleasure Point Park. Officially this double-point sticking out into Monterey Bay is called Soquel Point.
