Seal Beach is a city in Orange County, California. Seal Beach is located in the westernmost corner of Orange County. To the northwest, just across the border, lie the city of Long Beach and the adjacent San Pedro Bay. To the southeast are Huntington Harbor, a neighborhood of Huntington Beach, and Sunset Beach, also part of Huntington Beach. To the east lie the city of Westminster and the neighborhood of West Garden Grove, part of the city of Garden Grove. To the north lie the unincorporated community of Rossmoor and the city of Los Alamitos. A majority of the city's acreage is devoted to the Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach military base. Whether visiting or living in this California destination, there are many things to see and do. Seal Beach, California is an interesting combination of small town beach charm with a newer, more commercial section of the city on the east side. Also interesting additions to the mix are naval weapons ships pulling in and out of the Anaheim Bay regularly as the dock grab munitions from the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station, and head back out to sea. You will immediately be welcomed into this friendly neighborhood with warm smiles and cheery hellos. A short walk up the beach you will find our most famous landmark, the Seal Beach Pier. Walk just a couple of blocks up to Main Street and find restaurants for all tastes and pocketbooks, clothing and gift boutiques, art galleries, as well as the locals’ favorite Irish Pubs, ice cream parlors and coffee houses complete with wireless internet. There are many community activities during all times of the year, especially in the summer months.
